Don't be afraid to BE GREAT

Lately I have been studying the beatitudes in 3 Nephi Ch 12. The savior tells us to be The salt of the earth and a light set on a hill. This life really is our opportunity and privilege to become our BEST SELVES. I think so many times in my life I hold back from being my best self because I am afraid of someone thinking I am "stuck up" or I don't want to make them feel bad about themselves or something. So I purposefully diminish myself. This is not good, we are all children of God and we are meant to SHINE. We have been given gifts and talents and a purpose and it is our duty to develop, share and discover them. So don't be afraid to BE GREAT, don't be afraid to BECOME YOUR BEST SELF. When we do we inspire others to do the same! YOU ARE DIVINE. You have power over your life! No one is in charge of your life but you and you can create the life you want. If you don't like something in your life, good news! You can change it. That is the beauty of the gospel and the atonement. Our greatest gift is our agency, we get to CHOOSE. Everything we do and become is up to us! Believe in yourself! You are more precious than you know!
