1. Recognize that your body is a gift from God. It allows you, (your spirit) to experience this life, which is also a gift and an opportunity to grow, learn, change, progress etc. in a way that would be impossible without your mortal body. Focus on your spirit, not your outer shell.

2. Thank your body for all it does for you. Write appreciation letters to your body. Instead of thinking something like my thighs are huge, thank your legs for allowing you to do all you do and experience and enjoy life. Limit mirror time. Don't hold back from doing what you love because you are self conscience about your body. Don't wait to be happy love your here and now body.

3. Have an eternal perspective. Think about the people you love and admire in your life. Is it because of their body? probably not. Think about what is important to you and live your life full of those things instead of worrying about your body. Focus on your strengths. Be a healthy example to young girls, they need more of them

4. Shut off the negative comments in your head about your body and others bodies. Talk to yourself in a loving, kind way. Don't compare your body to others. No two bodies are exactly alike, you are unique. don't compete with others, instead strive to be the best version of you. Don't weigh yourself or read beauty magazines. Instead of measuring your health in that way, focus on how you feel and your energy level.

5. Exercise and eat healthy, but not in a militant obsessive kind of way. Come from a place of nurturing and caring for your body because it effects your spirit. Recognize that diets aren't good for you and that you don't have to eat perfectly to be healthy. In The for strength of youth it says practice balance and moderation in all aspects of your physical health and to avoid extremes in diet that lead to Eating Disorders.
